The Heart Of The Maze

The chosen door leads you into a high, vaulted chamber that feels like the centre of something important. The floor tiles form a pattern you recognise from the marks around the slab: paths looping, crossing, reconnecting.

At the far end stands an archway filled with shimmering air. It shows flickers of other rooms you think you have seen and some you definitely have not: a control room, a suite with a hot tub, a wall of dashboards, endless variations of you making decisions.

Beside the archway, a stone plinth bears an inscription:

"EVERY HERO GETS LOST. THE INTERESTING ONES COME BACK DIFFERENT."

Three hand‑sized depressions are carved into the plinth, each marked with a simple icon: a key, a mask, and a small spiral matching the one that brought you here.

Place your hand on the key. You want a way out, even if it loops. Place your hand on the mask. You want to remember less and enjoy more. Place your hand on the spiral. You want to see what happens if you go around again.
Step away from destiny and back to the slab.
